When you travel with your 6 month old baby will tend to sleep and take very little notice of their surroundings, they demand very little attention and are happy to settle into a travel cot or any other comfortable place for a sleep.
Most parents who have traveled with young children will tell you that the easiest age to take them on an airplane or to a new environment is under 12 months old. These tiny travellers can go anywhere with minimal disruption as long as you plan the food and diaper changes in advance.

Anyone who has tried to travel further than the local shop with a four year old will be able to tell you how frustrating the journey becomes as the child begins to ask hundreds of questions about where they are going and why they are not there yet! When booking your hotel make sure you request a cot before you travel, 6 month old baby can easily be catered for by the majority of hotels or holiday companies and a travel bed can be placed in most rooms. If you add a soft toy or blanket from home then they usually feel secure and comfortable anywhere. A kettle and a jug in your room will make preparing bottles and food an easy task and the concierge will often provide these items at no extra charge.
Probably the most important consideration is to stay calm yourself, sometimes this can be difficult but wherever you travel, 6 month old baby will, by and large, just sleep and play throughout the whole experience.
